Mo Willems wrote another Knuffle Bunny Book! -- It is called Knuffle Bunny Free. The person who is reading this book says "Nuffle" Bunny - not "K-Nuffle" Bunny, so I think that she forgot how to say "K-Nuffle like Trixie does. But that's okay, sometimes people say things differently. Has anyone ever said your name wrong? (Yes? That's a connection!)
Trixie lost Knuffle Bunny again! Oh, No! Was she upset? Yes, at the beginning she was. What happened to make her less upset? When you get upset, what helps you calm down? What did Trixie do with Knuffle Bunny when she found Knuffle Bunny? Why did she do that?
Next we are going to Read along to Peter's Chair, by another one of my favourite author / illustrators! Ezra Jack Keats!
Why was Peter upset? Have you ever had to give away something to your little brother or sister, or to someone else, that you wanted to keep? How did you feel?
Why did Peter change his mind?
How were Trixie and Peter alike?
This question is a text-to-text connection. Two characters in different books have a similar situation.
Have you ever "grown out" of something? Have you ever had something that was really special to you, and then later, you felt that you didn't need it or want it anymore?
