Community Helpers

Our community is made up of people who help each other. We have talked a lot about how we can help each other in our families and in our classroom.

A community helper is anyone in the community that keeps our community safe, healthy and happy!

Read along and answer some questions with an interactive reading of  Whose Hands Are These? by Miranda Paul.

Think about it!
How many community helpers can you think of?
You can write a list, or tell your parent. Can you think of some that were not in the book?

Helpers in our Community:
Walk around our neighbourhood and see if you can find some places where community helpers work! You can talk about what helpers work in each place. If you find any other ones not on the list,  you can add them to the list!

If we were in the classroom, we would be setting up our dramatic play area to different community helper spaces! You could set up one at home. The Veterinarian's Office is always a winner!
